LAFAYETTE, La. — Narcotic agents with the Lafayette Police Department received intelligence regarding drug activity at a home in the 200 block of St. James Drive. Following an investigation, agents obtained a search warrant for the property.
The warrant was executed at the home on Friday, January 10, resulting in the seizure of the following:
117 pounds of marijuana (DEA $1,061,400)1,304 grams of Psilocybin Mushrooms (DEA $6,520)1,888 grams of THC wax (DEA $188,800)1,088 THC Cartridges (DEA $108,800)264 packages of THC Gummies ($26,400)2,900 THC Cigarettes ($58,000)$74,069 in cashStolen Glock 22 handgun
Devonte Davis, 29, of Lafayette, was arrested and booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center on the following charges:
6 counts of Possession with the Intent to Distribute Schedule I Controlled Substances1 count of Possession of a Firearm in the Presence of a Controlled Dangerous Substance1 count of Illegal Possession of a Stolen Firearm1 count of Monies derived from drug proceeds
He is being held without bond.
