A Lake Elsinore man was arrested last week after investigators found he was allegedly selling marijuana and nicotine vape pens to children.

The investigation began in December, after the Special Enforcement Team at the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department’s Lake Elsinore Station were made aware of the sales being made to minors, according to a release from the department.

While investigating the matter, they found that 21-year-old Saul Perez was “using social media applications to advertise and facilitate marijuana and nicotine vape pens to minors.”

Deputies pulled Perez over on Thursday afternoon at around 1 p.m., which led to a search warrant being served at his home. They allegedly found “261 nicotine and marijuana vape products, about one-half pound of marijuana, two digital scales and $5,050 in United States currency,” between his car and residence.

He was booked on suspicion of multiple drug-related offenses that included selling marijuana to a minor and selling marijuana without a license, deputies said.

Anyone who knows more is asked to contact detectives at (951) 245-3300.
