Possession of controlled substances and interference, near East Allison Road, Jan. 31, LCSO
Laramie County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a 23-year-old woman for possession of controlled substances, interference with a peace officer and an unrelated theft citation following a traffic stop near East Allison Road.
At 10:06 p.m., Deputy Mershon stopped a blue Saturn Ion without license plates. The driver initially provided a false identity. After a K-9 alerted on the vehicle, deputies conducted a search and located suspected methamphetamine, a glass pipe with suspected burnt marijuana and a THC vape. The woman was arrested and booked into the Laramie County Detention Center.
Possession of methamphetamine and marijuana, near Logan Avenue and East 11th Street, Jan. 31, CPD
Cheyenne police cited a 54-year-old woman for possession of marijuana and methamphetamine following a traffic stop near Logan Avenue and East 11th Street.
At 1:18 a.m., Officer Bolkovats conducted a traffic stop for a truck with a missing taillight. A K-9 unit alerted on the vehicle, prompting a search that revealed a glass pipe with suspected THC and marijuana residue, a baggie of suspected marijuana and a pipe with suspected methamphetamine residue. The woman admitted to occasional meth use and was cited for drug possession and booked into the Laramie County Detention Center.
Refusing to obey, careless driving, and open container, near West 6th Street, Feb. 2, CPD
Cheyenne police cited a 30-year-old man for refusing to obey, careless driving and open container violations following a disturbance and high-speed driving incident near Dell Range Boulevard.
At 9:34 p.m., Officer Solberg witnessed a disturbance in the Walmart parking lot involving the suspect, who fled in a gray Ford F-150 after being ordered to stop. The suspect accelerated at a high speed through the crowded lot, endangering bystanders, and was later located sitting in his truck near his residence. An open container of Modelo beer was found on the passenger seat, and the man was cited and booked on multiple charges.
Public intoxication, near House Avenue, Jan. 31, CPD
Cheyenne police cited a 48-year-old man for public intoxication after responding to a reported domestic disturbance near House Avenue.
At 9:26 p.m., Officer Wright contacted the suspect outside a residence, where he stated he had been arguing with his boyfriend. Officers detected the odor of alcohol on the suspect’s breath. The other party declined to speak with officers. The man was cited and booked into the Laramie County Detention Center on public intoxication charges.
DUI, near Dell Range Boulevard, Feb. 1, CPD
Cheyenne police arrested a 73-year-old woman for DUI, her second offense in 10 years, after being found slumped over in her car near Dell Range Boulevard.
At 4:23 p.m., Officer Brengman was flagged down by a bystander who reported a woman in a white car revving its engine. Upon contact, the officer observed signs of intoxication, including slurred speech, dilated pupils and the smell of alcohol. The woman admitted to consuming alcohol and taking sleeping pills. Field sobriety tests indicated impairment, and a breath test showed a BAC of 0.137.
She was taken to CRMC for a blood draw and jail clearance before being booked into the Laramie County Detention Center on DUI charges.
Possession of methamphetamine, near Warren Avenue and East Lincolnway, Jan. 31, CPD
Cheyenne police arrested a 48-year-old man for possession of methamphetamine, driving with a suspended license and other traffic offenses during a stop near Warren Avenue and East Lincolnway.
At 10:34 a.m., Officer Ehlman stopped a white Nissan Frontier for failing to stop at a posted stop sign. The driver appeared nervous and was seen searching through the center console without instruction. Upon consenting to a vehicle search, officers discovered two plastic bags containing suspected methamphetamine in the console.
The man was taken into custody and booked into the Laramie County Detention Center on charges of possession of methamphetamine, open container, no liability insurance, driving with a suspended license and failure to stop at a stop sign.
Drug possession and equipment violations, near Logan Avenue and East 11th Street, Jan. 31, CPD
Cheyenne police arrested a 59-year-old man for possession of marijuana and methamphetamine, as well as multiple equipment and insurance violations, following a traffic stop near Logan Avenue and East 11th Street.
At 1:18 a.m., Officer Bolkovatz initiated a traffic stop on a red Dodge Ram for a broken taillight and an unsafe load in the truck bed. During the stop, K-9 Dutch alerted to the presence of narcotics. A glass marijuana pipe fell from the suspect as he exited the vehicle, and a search revealed a bag of marijuana and a pipe with suspected methamphetamine residue in the center console.
The man was arrested and booked into the Laramie County Detention Center on charges of drug possession, unsafe load, taillight equipment violation and no liability insurance.
