During the month of February 2025, the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit and the Yerington Police Department investigated a methamphetamine trafficking case in Yerington, Nev.
On Feb. 24, 2025, the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit and the Yerington Police Department executed a search warrant on the 300 block of Bridge Street in Yerington. During the execution of the search warrant, LCSO detectives located and seized 431 grams of methamphetamine, 3 pounds of marijuana, 95 grams of concentrated THC and an illegal firearm.
Yerington resident Matthew Stuart was arrested on the following charges:
NRS 202.360 – Ex-Felon in possession of a firearm
NRS 453.3385 – High Level trafficking of methamphetamine
NRS 453.337 – Possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of sales NRS 453.337 – Possession of marijuana for the purpose of sales
NRS 453.336 – Possession of 1/8 oz to 1 lb of marijuana concentrate NRS 453.3393 – Produce/Process/Extract concentrated cannabis
NRS 200.508 – Child Endangerment
Matthew Stuart’s bail is currently set at $142,500.00. This is an on-going investigation.
