Police seized more than 1½ pounds of marijuana during a Dec. 25 traffic stop in La Crosse County, according to a criminal complaint filed in La Crosse County Circuit Court.

Isaac Manuel Moreno, 24, Madison, was arrested and charged with a felony count of possession of marijuana with intent to deliver and a misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia.
According to the complaint, a State Patrol officer recorded a westbound vehicle operated by Moreno on Interstate 90 traveling 78 mph in a 70 mph. The officer initiated a traffic stop and immediately detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle and observed a marijuana shake and stems near the center console shifter.
The complaint says Moreno, who was on probation, admitted to not having a valid driver’s license. Police searched the vehicle and allegedly found 749 grams of marijuana.

Moreno is free on a $1,000 signature bond. He has a preliminary hearing set for Jan. 7.
