MADISON, Miss. (WLBT) – A man was arrested late Saturday night by the Madison Police Department for several charges related to firearm possession and the intent to sell marijuana.

According to Madison PD, at around 9:30 p.m., Madison police officers responded to a disturbance at the Shell Gas Station on the 1800 block of Main Street, about a disturbance between a black male and three black females.

Upon the officer’s arrival, the man, 30-year-old Kadarius Taylor from Jackson, left the vehicle he was in, failing to comply with officers on the scene, and fled on foot towards I-55.

Taylor was caught by Madison officers moments later a short distance from the initial location.

Taylor had a large amount of marijuana, a stolen firearm out of Ridgeland, Mississippi, and two machine gun conversion devices.

Taylor is being charged with possession with the intent to distribute, a felon in possession of a firearm, possession of a stolen firearm, two counts of possession of a machine gun conversion device, and disorderly conduct.

Taylor made his initial appearance in Madison Municipal Court where he received a $5,001,000.00 bond on all charges and his case will be presented to the Madison County Grand Jury before District Attorney John ‘Bubba’ Bramlett.
