PARAGOULD, Ark. (KAIT) – Police arrested a Paragould man after they said he provided marijuana to a child.
Rodney Thomas is charged with the introduction of a controlled substance into the body of another person, a Class C felony.
On Jan. 19, the Paragould Police Department received a report of “inappropriate activity with a minor.”
According to the affidavit, the alleged victim said Thomas “had provided and consumed marijuana with her.”
When investigators questioned Thomas, he denied the allegation; however, Detective Lieutenant Robert Sexton said Thomas came to the police station on Jan. 22 and said he had “lied” earlier.
After reviewing the case, Greene County District Judge Daniel Stidham found probable cause to arrest Thomas. He is currently free on a $15,000 bond, awaiting his next court appearance.
