OKLAHOMA CITY (KOKH) — A man was arrested after a 15-month-old was hospitalized for reportedly ingesting a marijuana gummy.

Oklahoma City Police responded to Deaconess Hospital on Monday where the parents had reportedly brought the child after not being able to wake him for 4 hours.

When police arrived, they met with Raqib Razaq in the emergency room where he was detained and put in a patrol vehicle.

Police interviewed a woman who was at the hospital who said she lived with Raqib Razaq. She said the child had a fever for the past 2-3 days and had been given Tylenol.

She denied any knowledge about drug use in the home but said Razaq smokes and vapes outside.

She didn’t know if it was nicotine or marijuana.

The bloodwork came back positive for THC.

The report also notes that the incident reportedly happened around 3 p.m. on Monday, but the child was not brought to the hospital until 8:30 p.m.

Razaq was booked into the Oklahoma County Jail for child neglect.
