Ruston Police arrested a Hodge man on April 3 after he was involved in a traffic crash and packages of marijuana were found in his vehicle
Zion Jelani Gray, 20, was arrested for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia after a two vehicle crash at the intersection of Martin L. King Drive and Clay Street in southeast Ruston.
While investigating the accident, an officer spotted pieces of marijuana on the vehicle floorboard and smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. A search located three large clear plastic bags containing over 86 grams of marijuana. The marijuana was packaged in a manner typical for individual sales. A scale and tray for measuring marijuana were also found.
Gray was booked at the Lincoln Parish Detention Center. His bail amount was not available.
