Da’marsell Miller
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A Lincoln man was charged with six felonies Thursday after police say he was caught with methamphetamine and five firearms.
Da’marsell Miller, 25, is facing five counts of possessing a firearm while committing a drug violation and one count of possessing money while committing a drug crime.
He is not charged with meth possession.
But according to court documents, he possessed 5 pounds of it.
On Monday, investigators followed Miller from his home near Ninth and D streets to a car wash across town, according to an arrest affidavit.
The Lincoln Police Department had a search warrant for both his home and his vehicle.
Once he stopped, officers detained him and searched the vehicle, where they say they found a loaded handgun, a small amount of marijuana and $825 in cash.
Miller was taken to the police station while investigators went to his house.
The affidavit says they discovered about 10 ounces of marijuana, a digital scale with meth residue, three more handguns and a rifle.
Then police unlocked the door to the basement, went downstairs and saw two grocery bags in the rafters.
Those bags held a total of about 5 pounds of meth, according to the affidavit.
A judge set Miller’s bond at $750,000. He would need to pay $75,000 to be released.
His next court appearance is set for April 10.
