Managing Cancer Treatment Side Effects with Cannabis/CBD – Beth C. Wright Cancer Resource Center/Dempsey Center collaborative program.
Nov. 3 10–11:15 a.m., online via Zoom
From treating pain and nausea to helping to ease the symptoms of neuropathy, more studies are coming out that demonstrate positive benefits from the safe use of CBD and other cannabinoids. On Friday, Nov. 3 join the Dempsey Center and expert Shari Berman online to discuss alternative and adjunctive ways to manage the side effects of cancer and cancer treatments.
To help ease the journey through a cancer diagnosis, the Dempsey Center has partnered with Beth C. Wright Cancer Resource Center to bring selected online programs to Hancock and Washington Counties. Using the Dempsey Connects virtual platform, cancer patients and their loved ones in the Beth C. Wright Cancer Resource Center service region can access these programs virtually from the comfort of their own home. If they do not have access to a computer at home, people can access these programs at the Beth C. Wright Cancer Resource Center, 23 Commerce Park, Ellsworth, Maine. This telecast class allows people across the state access to high-quality programming and encourages connection between those who have been impacted by cancer.
As with all Dempsey Center and Beth C. Wright Cancer Resource services, this program is free and open to all. This program is possible thanks to the support of Jane’s Trust, a charitable foundation located in Boston, MA, and Hannaford Foundation.
