BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (WFSB) – A man was arrested for having a large amount of marijuana following a Bridgeport motor vehicle stop

Police conducted a vehicle stop on Greenfield Drive due to several motor vehicle violations.

When 28-year-old Marcus Acosta of Meriden was handing the officer his documentation, a K9 noticed a massive amount of marijuana along with packaging materials in the backseat.

Acosta was placed in custody.

Following a thorough search of the vehicle, police seized 18.4 lbs. of marijuana, $3,954 in cash, and two cell phones.

Acosta is now facing the following charges:

Operation of drug factoryPossession with intent to sell, 1kg or more cannabis

His bond is set at $250,000.

He was also issued an infraction for tinted windows.
