Jasper County — The Jasper County Sheriff’s Office isn’t showing any love toward a suspect following her early Valentine’s Day arrest for possession of drugs, including suspected methamphetamine and marijuana.
Sheriff Chuck Havard says it began when a deputy stopped a driver for a license plate violation at about 12:30 a.m. Friday on U.S. 190 in Jasper County.
The driver admitted there were drugs in the vehicle, according to Havard. The deputy conducted a probable cause search and discovered three baggies of a substance believed to be methamphetamines, along with a scale, meth pipe, baggies and marijuana.
The suspect, Trista Lavergne Frazier, 40, of Jasper, was arrested and charged with Manufacturer/Delivery of a Controlled Substance, a 1st Degree Felony, and transported to the Jasper County Jail.
“I am very proud of the work the men and women are doing at the Sheriff’s Office to keep poison away from our youth and vulnerable people in our county,” said Sheriff Havard.
