Monopoly Melts is bridging the gap between the legacy market and licensed craft cannabis

Founded by Max Chervitz, Monopoly Melts has built its reputation in Missouri’s cannabis industry with a commitment to quality, while bringing a legacy market passion to consumers in the state’s dispensaries. Now the company is moving beyond the hash and concentrates it has built its brand on and bringing the discerning tastes of its founders to flower.

Ahead of the launch of Monopoly Melts branded flower in Missouri, Greenway sat down with Chervitz and Vice President Dominick Clark to discuss what makes the brand unique and how a company that has staked its claim on high quality concentrates plans to make an impact in cultivated flower.

Monopoly Melts’ journey into solventless products began in 2018, driven by the desire to “always be smoking the best,” explained Chervitz.

Despite being best known for their connoisseur level extracts, the team behind the brand has been focused on flower from day one.

“From the very beginning, launching a flower line in Missouri was a part of our vision,” Chervitz explained. “The passion for sharing the unique and carefully selected genetics we’ve curated drove this expansion. After establishing ourselves with high-quality solventless products, it felt like the natural next step to showcase the quality of our cannabis in its raw form. We’re thrilled to finally bring our flower to the market and share it with our community.”

From the offset, the team has been particular about what flower material is used as input for its solventless products, that attention to detail is rooted in the company’s culture and love of flower, creating a brand built on legacy market influence and experience that has made the turn into one of the state’s most respected hash makers.

“At Monopoly Melts, our core team consists of passionate cannabis enthusiasts who strive for nothing but quality. We are committed to delivering only the finest products, which reflects our personal standards and dedication to excellence. Every aspect of our process— from selecting premium strains to perfecting our production techniques—is meticulously crafted to ensure an exceptional consumer experience. Our commitment to consistency and quality is what distinguishes us in the Missouri cannabis market,” Chervitz told Greenway.

From concentrates to flower

As with any industry, taking an established brand and attempting to redefine it by adding a new product segment presents new challenges. For Monopoly Melts, balancing an established reputation and level of quality with making an immediate impact requires something special.

With that in mind, Monopoly Melts launches its flower line with a meticulous selection of cultivars and exotics.

“We’re thrilled to introduce a specially curated lineup of exotic genetics that will enhance Missouri’s cannabis landscape. Our upcoming cultivars have been carefully selected for their unique profiles and standout characteristics. Whether you’re drawn to complex fruity flavors, or bold, gassy terps, our new selection promises to captivate and delight both connoisseurs and casual enthusiasts alike.

“Lemon Cherry Gelato, Motorbreath #15, Strawberry Zkillato, Garlic Runtz, and Party Poppers are just a few to note. Each strain in our lineup is selected for its top quality and distinct character, promising a rewarding experience every time.”

While one might assume that a top-flight manufacturer would base much of its selection process on the ability to produce extracts, Chervitz and Clark said that their approach was flower first.

“When selecting the cultivars for our flower line, we focused on several key factors, with flavor being the most important. We assessed each strain for its unique flavor profile, bag appeal, and overall experience to ensure it delivers an enjoyable smoke,” he continued. “We considered potency, terpene content, and the effects of each cultivar to meet our customers’ diverse preferences while maintaining high quality and consistency. Our goal was to curate a collection that offers both exceptional smoking experiences and caters to a variety of tastes and needs.”

Rather than focusing on flower as input material or chasing THC percentages, the team detailed the characteristics that they believe best define quality in flower with a simple goal in mind.

“Our main objective is to push terps over THC%. Cannabis should taste good and get you high. We’re only stamping our name on product that we would smoke ourselves.”

For the team Monopoly Melts, the quality of the cannabis comes first. While not every cultivar that is released as flower will make its way into the company’s highly sought after concentrates, controlling the production of flower rather than just the selection offers new opportunities.

“We’re beyond hyped for how this flower line will complement our rosin products. The ability to pair the same strain of flower and rosin for hash holes is a game-changer! It’s all about giving consumers the full-spectrum experience—where they can enjoy the same elite genetics in both solventless concentrate and premium flower form. Whether you’re rolling up or dabbing, this lineup is designed to elevate every session.”

Looking ahead, the team aims to celebrate 420 in the biggest way possible this year, hosting a Flower Release Party on 4/20.

“Beyond product launches, events like these play a crucial role in strengthening our relationship with the Missouri cannabis community,” Chervitz said. “They provide us with a unique opportunity to engage with our customers personally, listen to their feedback, and better understand their needs and preferences. We believe in fostering a sense of community, and these events allow us to build trust and loyalty.”

In that spirit, attendees will be treated to an unforgettable experience with an in-house DJ, food trucks, exclusive giveaways, and more, according to Chervitz.

“Expect nothing but good vibes and top-tier smoke. We’re bringing the heat with a hash hole rolling station, where guests can customize their roll by choosing their preferred flower and rosin. Plus, we’ll have a fully stocked dab bar for those looking to enjoy a dab. It’s the ultimate 4/20 celebration, and we can’t wait to share it with the community!”

A customized hash hole rolling station is a unique experience for many cannabis consumers and something that the team fostered not out of necessity, but pure desire.

“The idea came straight from our team’s personal preference—hash holes are our go-to because, in our opinion, they offer the ultimate smoking experience. We wanted to bring that same top-tier experience to our event in a fun and interactive way,” Chervitz stated.

“The station will be set up ‘Deli Style,’ where guests pull a number from the wheel to secure their spot in line. Once it’s their turn, they’ll choose their preferred strain of flower and rosin for their custom roll. When their hash hole is ready, their number will be called over the loudspeaker—oh, and to top it off, each guest will get a donut to munch on with their joint. It’s all about pairing fire with fire!”

While the Flower Release Party pairs unique experiences with premium products, the community aspect is the heart of engagement for the Monopoly Melts team. For Chervitz and Clark, that means sharing knowledge and helping to create a better understanding of cannabis.

“Consumer education is extremely important to us, especially in regards to solventless concentrates. We will be taking time at the launch party to explain the difference between hydrocarbon and solventless concentrates and will also be diving into how we selected strains for our lineup.”

Looking to the Future: Expanding and Innovating

As Monopoly Melts celebrates its flower launch, Chervitz assures us there’s more to come. The company is already preparing for new product offerings.

“We’re excited to continue evolving our offerings in Missouri by introducing new genetics that align with our brand. We’ll also be expanding our product lineup to include hash holes in various sizes and launching our new high-dose gummies.”

As if the launch of flower and a slew of new products weren’t enough, Monopoly Melts wil enter the Michigan market this summer with an expected launch date of 7/10.
