WAYNE COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) – A Wayne County man is facing charges following an incident where police said he was growing marijuana in a home.

On Wednesday, deputies with the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office went to a home on South First Street.

Police noticed Danny Tomlin, of Monticello, holding two mature marijuana plants in the backyard of a home nearby.

Police said Tomlin was attempting to take them inside the home.

Tomlin was arrested when police gave him orders to stop what he was doing.

Police said several other marijuana plants were noticed growing close by in large growing pots.

When they extended their search, police discovered an indoor marijuana grow was also found with other mature plants.
