MEAD, Okla. (KXII) – Multiple law enforcement agencies could be seen seizing marijuana plants from a Mead warehouse Tuesday morning.
Bryan County Undersheriff Joey Tucker tells News 12 the operation is “targeting illegal grows in the county” and they are “currently serving multiple search warrants.”
Tucker said they are clearing out all illegal marijuana at the site just off US-70 at a business park in Mead and loading it into dump trucks and that they have filled six trucks thus far.
The illegal marijuana is being photographed, weighed and taken to a destruction site, Tucker said.
Tucker said the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics and the Drug Enforcement Agency are assisting in the operation.
There is no word yet on arrests, but Bryan County Sheriff Johnny Christian said more information would be released later today.
