“I am just reaching out hoping that you can help me spread the word to all the parents in the community especially the parents that have high school kids over at New Bedford High School.
I am a mama of five and I bring multiple kids to school each and every morning. Every time I arrive to the New Bedford High School area there are about 30 students vaping, smoking marijuana, and smoking cigarettes in the parking lot of Hari Mart.
I have talked to the owner of the store and he stated that he’s talked to the schools about it and even talked to to the school committee and nothing has been done about it.
The owner of the store says that the only thing that helps is having a police presence in the store parking lot but they are not always there to help. Some days they are and some days they aren’t. Where is the consistency?
I know that parents have to go off to work each and every morning and not every parent is able to bring their children to school and pick them up so not every parent knows what their child is up to. I’m just asking if you can help me spread the word to the community to ask their kids the uncomfortable questions.
I am a mama five and I care about my children but I also care about all the children in the community as well ❣️ I share this message because maybe they are doing things their parents don’t know about like smoking .”-Brooke Carr.
