Both incidents occurred along I-35 in New Braunfels.

SAN ANTONIO — A significant amount of drugs are off the street after two traffic stops in New Braunfels, according to officials. 

Authorities said New Braunfels police initiated a traffic stop on Friday, March 28 along I-35. This lead to the arrest of four individuals, from Corpus Christi, and the seizure of more than 1,300 grams of THC cartridges. 

Officials said the suspects were taken to the Comal County Jail and were each charged with Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance. 

The next day, on March 29, police officers initiated another traffic stop along I-35, where officers found more than 500 pounds of marijuana. The driver who is originally from Choctaw, Oklahoma, was driving from Oklahoma to San Antonio when he was stopped, according to New Braunfels PD. 

Authorities said the man was taken to the Comal County Jail. He was charged with Possession of Marijuana. 

Both of these incidents remain under investigation and additional charges may be pending.
