BRISTOL, Conn. (WFSB) – A New Britain man has been arrested for possession of cocaine and three pounds of marijuana in Bristol on Monday.

According to the Bristol Police Department, officers confronted 26-year-old Coron Burrell of New Britain after watching him drive a car that refused to stop during a previous incident.

Officials said they seized 3.3 pounds of marijuana in the car that was packaged for sale, 1.8 grams of cocaine and seized over $700 in cash.

The expected street value of the marijuana is about $8,000.

Burrell was arrested and is facing the following charges:

Possession of marijuana with the intent to distributePossession of a controlled substance and misuse of plates

He is scheduled to appear in New Britain Court in March.

The arrest was made with the help of the newest crime fighting unit in Bristol.
