NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) – A North Platte man is facing charges in Lincoln County after law enforcement found nearly 200 pounds of marijuana and hundreds of THC vape cartridges, according to Nebraska State Patrol.
Stephen Burtt, 38, was charged with two counts of distribution or possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute and one count of possession of a controlled substance.

According to court documents, an NSP investigator arranged a controlled buy between Burtt and confidential informants on March 21.
Informants purchased the drugs from Burtt for nearly $10,000. He was arrested shortly after the purchases.
A search warrant was also used to search Burtt’s vehicle and storage unit. In total, CODE investigators seized 175 pounds of marijuana, 1,370 THC vape cartridges and numerous THC edibles.
Burtt is being held on a 10% of $250,000 bond. A preliminary hearing is set for April 10 at 1:30 p.m.
