NORWALK, Conn. (WFSB) – A man is facing several charges for possession of packaged marijuana and a handgun.

According to the Norwalk Police Department, at around 6 p.m. officers found 18-year-old Justin Gross of Norwalk who was in the area of Connecticut Avenue on February 3rd.

Detectives already had a search warrant for Gross involving an ongoing investigation.

He quickly tried to cross four lanes of traffic and ran away from an officer.

The officer continued to order Gross to stop and he did.

Officials said he was in possession of a Glock handgun with an extended magazine.

After an investigation, it was found that he also had marijuana packaged for sale.

Gross was placed under arrest and is facing several charges.

He is being held on a $500,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on February 19.
