OILTON, Okla. — The Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics (OBN) said one person was arrested and 22,000 marijuana plants were seized after serving a search warrant at an illegal marijuana farm in Oilton.
Agents served a search warrant at the marijuana farm as part of an ongoing investigation that found evidence the business’s registration was obtained by fraud, using a straw ownership scheme.
In total, 22,000 marijuana plants and 647 pounds of processed marijuana were seized while serving the warrant.
OBN said 46-year-old Steven Hewitt, from Jennings, was arrested as the straw owner.
OBN said an additional 12 people were detained and four of those detained are being held on an ICE Detainer.
