CINCINNATI (WKRC) – A new bill, Senate Bill 326, could lead to a ban on certain popular products in Ohio if passed.
The bill defines “intoxicating hemp” as containing more than half a milligram of Delta-9 THC per serving.
State lawmakers are expected to consider this emergency measure as they reconvene for their lame-duck session.
The bill’s sponsor said the current regulations are insufficient in protecting people. Notably, marijuana, which is legal in the state, is not included in the proposed ban.
