ORANGEBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) – The Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office announced that they have seized more than 13 pounds of marijuana and various weapons.
Tyrek Hanton, 32, and Laquinton Williams, 33, both of Orangeburg, are charged with trafficking marijuana over more than 10 pounds, says Sheriff Leroy Ravenell.

“This operation took a lot of junk off the streets,” the sheriff said. “It may seem like a lot, but we’re not finished yet.”
The marijuana and weapons were seized by narcotics officers during a search warrant on Jan. 24 at a home on Millwood Farm Road.
They discovered marijuana vacuum-sealed in plastic bags inside of a suitcase, concentrated THC in several small jars, THC gummies, a shotgun and a rifle.
Hanton and Williams both face a maximum sentence of 10 years and a $10,000 fine.
