A Westmoreland County woman is in jail after police say her two-year-old son tested positive for marijuana.
State police said that at 5:30 p.m. on Nov. 1, Shelby Bosworth’s son had fallen down some steps but appeared to be unharmed, WPXI reported.
However, he was later taken to a hospital when he wouldn’t wake up from a nap. Bosworth told officials that when she tried to wake him up, his eyes rolled into the back of his head.
A urine drug screen test came back positive for marijuana. The child was then taken to a children’s hospital, where his symptoms suggested a marijuana toxicity.
Bosworth was arrested on Friday and is charged with endangering the welfare of a child, KDKA said.
