NILES TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WNDU) – Michigan marijuana retailers are a step closer to selling closer to the Indiana state line.

Niles Township plans to allow an unlimited number of dispensaries to set up shop along the south end of its business corridor on S. 11th Street.

The plans received a favorable recommendation from the Berrien County Planning Commission on Tuesday.

The Niles Township Board will be asked to give final approval to adult-use marijuana sales at a meeting set for April 21.
