Police detain man in Batken for cultivation of hemp

AKIPRESS.COM – A man was growing a plant containing narcotics in Kadamjai district, Batken region police department reported.

A man was cultivating 11 bushes of a plant with a specific smell on the agricultural plant of his older brother in Chandeki village. The police was informed about hemp cultivation by another villager.

A criminal case was launched into sowing and growing plants containing narcotic drugs. Experts concluded the cultivated plant was hemp (cannabis). The total weight of the plant made 3.15 kg. 

The hemp grower was taken into custody. The investigation is ongoing.
