WHITEVILLE, Tenn. — Police discovered several bottles of alcohol and marijuana inside a vehicle involved in a crash.
According to the Whiteville Police Department, on Thursday afternoon, first responders were dispatched to the intersection of Highway 64 and Old Highway 64 in Whiteville for a reported rollover crash.
Police say it was determined to be a single vehicle wreck with one occupant.
According to Whiteville PD, it was “apparent” the driver was under the influence, and Tennessee Highway Patrol was requested to assist.
A release states that first responders removed the driver from the vehicle, and he was transported to Bolivar’s emergency room.
According to police, several empty bottles of Smirnoff Vodka were found inside the vehicle, along with marijuana.
Whiteville Police say THP is conducting an investigation, and the individual – who has not been identified at this time – will be facing charges.
