POLICE have launched an investigation after a fire at a property where a cannabis farm was discovered.
Emergency services were called to the scene of a fire at a property on Alice Street at around 4.30pm yesterday (Wednesday).
No one was present at the property and no injuries were reported, but police have recorded a crime of producing a controlled drug (Class B).
Now the force is appealing for people to come forward if they witnessed anything suspicious.

A spokesperson for the West Yorkshire Police said: “Police are investigating after being called to a fire at a property on Alice Street, Bradford.
“Officers were called at 4.35pm yesterday to the fire, on arrival officers discovered a cannabis farm at the location.
“No one was present when emergency services arrived and no injuries have been reported.
“A scene is still on whilst enquiries are ongoing.
“A crime of producing a controlled drug (Class B) and abstracting electricity has been recorded.
