Officers investigating break-in stumble upon pounds of marijuana, Lancaster Township Police say

Lancaster Township Police responded to a burglary in progress call Sunday night and ended up arresting the homeowner.Police said they arrived at a home on the 600 block of Wycroft Lane around 9:30 p.m. “Upon arrival, officers found evidence of a break-in, but the suspect had fled the scene. During the investigation, the LTPD discovered evidence implicating the homeowner, Edward Angel Valentin, in a separate crime,” police said in a statement.Police searched the residence and said they found the following:More than three pounds of marijuana wrapped in homemade clear plastic71 pouches of commercially packaged marijuana totaling more than 248 grams44 THC Vape PensNine jars of THC Wax, scales, and packaging material. Police also said the only thing stolen during the burglary was more marijuana. Officers arrested Valentin. He is charged with:Possession with Intent to Distribute a Controlled Substance Possession of Drug Paraphernalia Valentin is being held at the Lancaster County Prison in lieu of $50,000 bail.
