Cannabis plants worth more than £10,000 have been seized in a dawn raid in Bolton. Officers targeted a property on Century Lodge, in Farnworth, early on Wednesday morning (December 4).
It followed a tip to officers about a suspected cannabis farm being in operation. Police forced entry into the building, where they found between 20 and 25 cannabis plants in the loft.
Greater Manchester Police says the electricity supply had also been bypassed at the property ‘as part of a sophisticated setup’. The suspect is known to officers and police are now working to find them.

An investigation is ongoing and the haul will be destroyed, GMP says. Sergeant Jess Prudence, of GMP’s Bolton town centre team, said: “This is a prime example of us as officers acting on information to keep our communities safe.
“We know drugs supply has a devastating impact and far-reaching consequences across Greater Manchester, and especially in Bolton we are determined to continue our approach of taking the fight back to the criminals to criminal activity that matters to our residents. The work done by our team into this continues daily to uncover those who are intent on committing crime.
