Out of the myriad of marijuana edible brands available across the United States, four of them have risen to the top and control about 18% of the national cannabis edibles market, according to a report from New Frontier Data.

The report found that for the week of Aug. 25, Oregon-based Wyld, Illinois-based Incredibles, Colorado-based Wana Brands and California-based Kiva-Camino are – in that order – the top four most popular cannabis edibles makers. Wyld has 8.4% of the national market, while Incredibles has 5%, Wana has 4% and Kiva has 3.5%.

Following the top four were, in descending order, Oregon-based Smokiez with 2.6%, Arkansas-based Good Day Farm with 2.4%, Oregon-based GRON with 2.2%, Arizona-based Copperstate Farms with 2.1%, New York-based Ayrloom with 2.1% and New York-based Off Hours with 1.9%.

The list represents just over 34% of the entire national edibles market.

“Consumers are loyal to brands they like,” New Frontier reported. “Forty-five percent of consumers say they always or usually buy the same brand of edibles, and only 7% say they rarely purchase the same edibles brand twice. This is good news for the brands on the list.”

The report was based on information from more than 1,700 dispensaries spread across 34 states, a New Frontier spokeswoman confirmed in an email.

“Once you get beyond the top 10, the market share gets very small as many brands are only in one state market,” spokeswoman Amanda Reiman wrote.

Many of the top brands don’t have a presence in nearly every U.S. state market. Wyld, for instance, only has a cannabis footprint in 13 states and Canada, according to its website, but 24 states have legalized adult-use and 38 have legalized medical.

Still, New Frontier concluded in its report, that “favorites among consumers are emerging” in the edibles sector, with gummies having risen to the top of the heap for infused goods.

Last year, New Frontier reported, gummies were the edible of choice for 84% of cannabis consumers, up from 45% in 2022.

That trend coincides with another big one for edibles makers, in that more marijuana enthusiasts are choosing non-smokable forms of consumption, with “non-flower cannabis products” the choice of 21% of consumers last year, up from 17% in 2022.
