ROCKFORD, Ill (WREX) – Rockford Police recover over 100 grams of cannabis and over 60 grams of crack cocaine.
On Sunday, December 15 shortly after 6:30 P.M., the Rockford Police SCOPE Team was patrolling in the 300 block of Cameron Avenue when they saw a car registered to a woman wanted in Boone County.
Officers then conducted a traffic stop and detained the two occupants. Officers found and recovered over 108 grams of cannabis and over 68 grams of crack cocaine.
Davidia Lovett, the owner of the car, arrived at the traffic stop and was taken into custody for a warrant for drug induced homicide out of Boone County.
21-year-old Danijah Thompson of Rockford faces multiple charges including resisting arrest, possession with intent to deliver cannabis and failure to appear warrant-retail theft.
34-year-old Johnny Washington of Rockford faces multiple charges including resisting arrest, possession with intent to deliver cocaine and failure to register as a sex offender.
