Police were searching a building near Mission and Ninth streets after a shooting sent one man to the hospital Monday evening.

The San Francisco Police Department said officers responded to the area just before 5 p.m. and found a victim with gunshot wounds being treated by paramedics. A video shared with The Standard showed two unknown people holding a piece of clothing to a man’s bloodied face as he cried, “Oh my God, help me.” A thick trail of blood stained the sidewalk next to the man, who was lying on his back.

Family identified the victim as Martin Olive, the owner and founder of the Vapor Room, a longtime dispensary at 79 Ninth St. His father Diego Olive told The Standard that Martin was in “bad shape, but not terrible shape.”

He declined to share further details, asking for privacy for his son and their family.
