Gardaí continue to investigate following the seizure of €91,000 of herbal cannabis (4.55kg) in Navan Co. Meath yesterday, Friday 10th January 2025.Yesterday, 11th January 2025, Gardaí in Navan arrested a second woman in connection with this investigation.
The woman (30s) has since been charged and is due to appear before Trim District Court at a later date. This follows the arrest of another woman in her twenties is on custody since Friday after €91,000 of drugs was seized in Navan. She was arrested following an intelligence-led operation involving the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau, Meath Divisional Drug Unit, and Revenue Customs Service.
Approximately 4.55kgs of herbal cannabis with an estimated value of €91, 000 was seized. The operation centred on a number of residential properties in the Navan area. The woman is being held at a Garda station in the county under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984. Garda investigations are continuing.
