Shelbina residents approve marijuana sales tax

SHELBY COUNTY, Mo. (WGEM) – Residents in Shelbina approved a proposition for a marijuana sales tax on Tuesday.

The proposition will impose a 3% sales tax on adult-use marijuana sold in Shelbina.

This new tax would not apply to medical-use marijuana, which is taxed at 4% by the state.
