An employee of a Huntington Station convenience store allegedly sold marijuana illegally out of the Depot Road business, the Suffolk County police said.

Following several community complaints, police officers executed a search warrant Wednesday at Joe Joe Convenience Store, the department said in a news release. Police confiscated marijuana, as well as “THC marijuana vapes, flavored vape products” and cash, the release said.

Employee Ahmed Fofana, 24, of Manhattan, was charged with second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia, unlawful sale of cannabis, sale of cannabis without a license and criminal possession of cannabis, police said.

Fofana received a desk appearance ticket and will be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip at a later date, Suffolk police said.

The New York State Office of Cannabis Management Enforcement Unit issued several violations against the Huntington Station store and closed it down, according to Suffolk police. The Town of Huntington was made aware of the situation and is conducting an investigation.
