Officers from Winsford beat team executing a search warrant at a house on Kohli Avenue on Sunday, December 15, found cannabis in various forms including in a raw state, in vapes and edibles, as well as a sum of cash.
Two men and a woman were arrested at the property and were taken to Middlewich Custody Suite by officers for questioning.
Officers also raised concerns for the welfare of two young children in the house at the time of the raid, as the cannabis edibles were stored in the fridge within easy access for one of the children.
Police said the wrappings on the edibles made them look a lot like regular sweets, and one of the children was eating sweets when police arrived.
The children are currently in the care of relatives, though both Social Services and the property’s housing association landlord have been informed.

A police spokesman said if the keys aren’t found when the owner is released from custody, they will be forced to use an angle grinder to get into the car to search it.
The spokesman added: “Officers located a large quantity of class B drugs in the address, including cannabis, cannabis vapes, cannabis edibles, and also a quantity of cash.

“Unfortunately, the owner of a BMW couldn’t quite recall where his car keys were, and we suspect that there may be something in the vehicle that he doesn’t want us to find
“We’ve arranged for the car to be removed to a secure compound. If he doesn’t come up with the keys after he’s released from custody, we’ll have no option but to use an angle grinder to cut a hole in the boot so that we can search it properly.

“We could have just gone ahead and done this anyway, but we like to be fair and not damage things where possible.
“Drugs ruin families and harm your local community. We always take action when there is sufficient information to allow us to obtain a search warrant.
“If you have any information about drug dealing in the area, you can report it to us.
“You might not see any action straight away while we do our background checks, but we will go after the dealers that think they can make tax free money by dealing illegal substances.”
