LONOKE COUNTY, Ark. (KAIT) – Arkansas State Police arrested a man from out-of-state who they said had hundreds of pounds of marijuana inside his vehicle.
On Tuesday, Dec. 24, troopers stopped a Ford F-150 on Interstate 40 near Mile Marker 164 in Lonoke County for a traffic violation.
According to a news release, they found 207 vacuum-sealed packages of illegal marijuana in six large suitcases, totaling 248 pounds.
The driver, 53-year-old Xiong Bin Ren, of Chickasha, Oklahoma, told investigators he was traveling to Wisconsin for Christmas.

ASP arrested Ren on felony charges of possession with the intent to deliver and unauthorized use of another person’s property to facilitate a crime.
Ren was released from the Lonoke County Detention Center on Monday, Dec. 30.
