CLARK COUNTY, Wash. (KATU) — On February 27, 2025, at around 10:30 a.m., troopers in Clark County arrested two men from New York for transporting large quantities of marijuana and Ketamine. The men were traveling from northern Washington to central California when they were stopped, Washington State Patrol said.
Troopers observed a red Dodge Hornet speeding southbound on Interstate 5 near milepost 6, traveling 19 miles over the posted speed limit. Upon contacting the vehicle, troopers noticed two large black trash bags in the rear seat and a strong odor of marijuana coming from the passenger area.
After questioning, both occupants were arrested and booked into the Clark County Jail. A search of the vehicle revealed multiple black trash bags in the rear compartment and trunk, containing approximately 160 pounds of marijuana. Additionally, troopers found 11 grams of Ketamine powder, WSP said.
The combined street value of the seized drugs is estimated to be between $800,000 and $900,000. The men face charges of Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Deliver and Possession of Ketamine with Intent to Deliver.
