SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) — More than 8,000 suspected fentanyl pills, cocaine, and marijuana were seized in an undercover operation at Cottonwood Park.
Santos Alvarez-Cantor, 27, sold fentanyl pills to two different undercover detectives, the affidavit states.
On Tuesday, at approximately 9:30 a.m., officers with the Salt Lake City Police Department stopped Alvarez-Cantor in his vehicle at Bridgton Drive and South Molly Drive in Magna.
A law enforcement narcotics dog reportedly indicated the presence of narcotics inside the car.
Law enforcement obtained a search warrant and seized 8,200 suspected fentanyl pills, cocaine, marijuana, and $28,186 in cash near 6500 West 3900 South in West Valley City, the affidavit states.

Alvarez-Cantor and his passenger Santos Alvarenga, 42, were booked into the Salt Lake County Metro Jail.
Alvarez-Cantor was arrested on two first-degree felony counts of possession of a controlled substance with the intent to distribute, two second-degree felony counts of possession of a controlled substance with the intent to distribute; and one class A misdemeanor count of possession of a controlled substance.
Alvarenga was arrested on one second-degree felony count of distribution of a controlled substance.
Detectives with the Salt Lake City Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit, the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, and the Utah State Bureau of Investigation assisted in the investigation.
