WASHTENAW COUNTY, MI – More than $5 million is on its way to communities in Washtenaw County, the state treasury announced on Friday as part of a large distribution of adult-use marijuana funds.
Close to $100 million will be distributed to 302 local entities under the Michigan Regulation and Taxation of Marijuana Act. According to a release on Friday, Feb. 21, municipalities, counties and tribes are eligible to receive more than $58,200 for every licensed marijuana retail store or micro business located within their jurisdictions.
