Wilmington man arrested in Lenoir County with marijuana, mushrooms

A Wilmington man was arrested Wednesday morning after Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office deputies discovered 647 grams of marijuana and Schedule I narcotics in his vehicle.

A vehicle driven by Ghani Shakur Glover, 25, was pulled over for reckless driving near the boat ramp at 963 Hwy 11-55. When deputies conducted a search of the vehicle, they found the marijuana and chocolate mushrooms.

Glover was charged with:

·      Possession with intent to sell or deliver marijuana

·      Felony maintaining a vehicle/dwelling/place for controlled substance

·      Felony possession of Schedule I controlled substance

·      Reckless driving

·      Failure to wear seat belt

Glover received a $5,000 secured bond.
