It is comforting to know that the program manager for the state Department of Health’s Office of Medical Cannabis Control and Regulation (OMCCR) has acknowledged that legalizing adult-use of cannabis might bring more than extra tax money (“Report shows strong use of isle medical cannabis program,” Star-Advertiser, Feb. 6). He indicates that the money can be used to warn the public of the risks of using cannabis, and to fund substance abuse and prevention programs.

In MSC Toronto o/a Continuous Colour Coat Limited v United Steelworkers Local 3950-65, the arbitrator concluded that the employee had consumed cannabis during his lunch break and returned to work contrary to company policy.
