NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Three men are facing charges after fleeing from a traffic stop in Antioch and later being found with guns, pounds of marijuana and fentanyl pills on Thursday night, according to the Metro Nashville Police Department.

Police said that officers recovered multiple guns, nearly four pounds of marijuana and 40 pills containing fentanyl.

The trio, Saibey Danjo, 19, Jonathan Patterson, 21, and Jalen Transley, 21, were seen inside a Chevrolet Malibu, which smelled of marijuana, as detectives were beside it at a traffic light on Hamilton Church Road, according to MNPD. A traffic stop was initiated but the Malibu fled.

Later, it stopped on Carefree Lane where four occupants fled from the vehicle. After a short foot pursuit, Transley, the driver and two of the passengers, Danjo and Patterson were arrested.

“A one-pound bag of marijuana was recovered from the front passenger floorboard as well as three handguns and an AR-style pistol from inside the Malibu. One of the Glock handguns recovered from the back seat had a switch to make it fully automatic and an extended magazine,” MNPD said. “A backpack tossed during the foot pursuit also contained approximately three pounds of marijuana, the 40 pills that contained fentanyl and a digital scale.”

All three are facing charges of possession of marijuana, possession of fentanyl, two counts of weapon possession and evading arrest.
