NORTHERN CALIFORNIA — California Highway Patrol law enforcement officials made a large drug discovery on Thursday with the help of K9 Robbie.
Officials say a canine officer stopped a commercial vehicle after noticing signs of criminal activity and a strong odor of marijuana. CHP officials say K9 Robbie detected the narcotics.
Officers say they found several large black plastic bags filled with numerous one-pound bags of processed marijuana under a tonneau cover and in the back seat of the vehicle. CHP says about 400 pounds of processed marijuana were uncovered.
