One female was arrested for possession with intent to supply class B drugs this week, and subsequent searches of her car and property have revealed a significant amount of cannabis.

Officers spotted a Mercedes vehicle just across the border on Monday, June 16, as it travelled from St Albans to Hatfield.

The Mercedes was stopped and seized by St Albans officers. (Image: St Albans Police) Some checks of this vehicle and the driver revealed information that suggested the car was involved in drug supply in the St Albans and Hatfield districts.

The sole occupant was detained for a Section 23 search. Inside of the vehicle revealed 28 individually wrapped and boxed cannabis pots labelled ready for supply.

A further search of her address revealed a further 55 boxes of cannabis again labelled and ready to be supplied.

The vehicle was also seized which will allow for a drugs dog and scenes of crime officers to look in detail at the vehicle and to search thoroughly through the vehicle.

Officers stopped three further individuals in a vehicle who were acting suspiciously in a known area for drug dealing and usage. They were stopped and searched and nothing was found.

A Facebook post by the force read: “Let this be a warning to people who enter the St Albans District or travel through our district with the intention to supply drugs, we know you exist and we will catch you!”

Another individual was stopped and searched while riding a moped on Ashley Road in St Albans.

The search was negative, but he had a provisional driving license and no insurance. He was reported for driving otherwise in accordance with his driving license and driving without a valid certificate of insurance.

A Facebook post by the force added: “That will add a lot of points if found guilty.”
