#3 — Spot the Problem™
What Prevents the Driver From Completing the Handoff?
The person at the door says:
“It’s my roommate’s order. She texted me that I can take it.”
The problem: The person attempting to receive the delivery is not the purchaser named on the order.
Permission from a roommate, spouse, friend, or other person does not replace the required recipient verification process.
Right house does not automatically mean right recipient. Verify the person receiving the order before completing the handoff.

The purchaser isn’t home when the driver arrives.
Her husband offers to accept the order.
What should the driver do?
A. Leave it with the husband.
B. Call the purchaser and accept verbal permission.
