Traffic Stop Results in Seizure of 23 Pounds of Marijuana

[#item_full_content] A traffic stop conducted by the Pennsylvania State Police in Erie County resulted in the seizure of more than 23 pounds of marijuana, a half a pound of THC wax, and thousands of dollars in cash, authorities reported.According to Pennsylvania State Police Girard Patrol Unit, the incident occurred at approximately 5:38 p.m. on August 24, along eastbound Interstate 90 near mile marker 2.7 in Springfield Township. Troopers initiated a traffic stop after observing a traffic violation while conducting criminal interdiction efforts.During the stop, investigators detected indicators of criminal activity and subsequently searched the vehicle, a 2010 Chrysler Town & Country minivan. The search allegedly uncovered approximately 23 pounds of marijuana, a half-pound of THC wax, and $6,000 in U.S. currency.The driver, Dalton Taylor, 30, of Cuba, New York, was arrested and charged with possession with intent to deliver, possession of drugs, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was later remanded to the Erie County Prison, according to state police.The investigation was conducted by the Pennsylvania State Police Girard Patrol Unit.
